Maysa Kapoor, an 11th grader in Uttarakhand, India, founded The Housing and Hope Initiative (THHI). She has completed a summer school course in Business from Wake Forest University and an immersion program in Social Psychology through Columbia University. Maysa has cultivated an interest in entrepreneurship and its ability to create social change.
Maysa supports her commitment to the welfare of communities through various forms of leadership, from participating in local fundraisers to interning with the Estates Department, including projects on sustainable infrastructure. Combining these experiences along with her extensive background in the creative and performing arts have shaped Maysa’s vision of THHI. As a way of linking design to the needs of the community, Maysa’s aspiration is to develop and implement affordable, practical alternative housing solutions for Delhi.
